By using Cursus, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the app. These terms are written in plain language, but they're still the terms — read the parts that matter to you.

What Cursus is

Cursus shows real, government-reported college outcome data (earnings, debt, cost) sourced from the U.S. Dept. of Education's College Scorecard, alongside AI-generated content — career paths, a roadmap, essay/resume coaching, comparisons, and other "Pro Suite" tools — that is clearly labeled as an estimate, not verified data.

Not advice

Cursus is an informational tool, not financial, legal, or admissions advice. AI-generated content can be wrong, generic, or miss context specific to your situation. Nothing on this site should be your only input into a decision about where to apply, enroll, or how to pay for it — talk to a school counselor, financial aid office, or family before making real decisions.

Data accuracy

The College Scorecard figures come from the government's most recently reported cohort, which typically lags 1-2 years behind the current year, and some schools or majors don't report enough graduates for a figure to be published (in which case Cursus says so and substitutes a broader figure rather than inventing a number). We do our best to represent this data accurately, but we don't guarantee it's complete, current, or error-free.

No accounts, no payments — yet

As of this version, Cursus has no user accounts and processes no real payments. The "Try Pro" toggle is a free demonstration of features that may become a real paid tier in the future. If that changes, these terms will be updated and you'll see new terms before any payment is processed.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use automated tools to scrape, flood, or abuse the app or its underlying APIs.
• Attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the service.
• Use the essay/resume coach to submit content that is unlawful, harassing, or intended to generate harmful output.

We may rate-limit or block traffic that we reasonably believe is abusive, to keep the service available and its costs sane for everyone else.

No warranty, limited liability

Cursus is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Cursus and its operator are not liable for any decision made or outcome experienced based on information from this app, including AI-generated content or errors in third-party data.

Changes

We may update these terms, the app, or its features as Cursus evolves. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
